Jungle Cat World in Orono

While we were visiting Terry (gail's bro) and Janet, Brittany and TJ in Newcastle, we went to Jungle Cat World. The boys loved it. Brennus' favorite were the ducks and Loudon's favorite were the monkey- sorry cats!

Summer 1997

I'm posting this video clip of Darrin and I with some of his family at the beach in NS from the summer of 1997. We'll be visiting Darrin's brother's, Kevin's, family in a couple of weeks (they're coming from California) and the two boys in the video, Khyber and Noah are now 12 and 14 and have two sisters Anya and Marah. Can't wait to see them again and have them meet Loudon and Brennus. See you at the cottage guys!

Boys and Trucks

Darrin and Loudon headed off to Halifax today to pick up some furniture we're acquiring from Grandma and Grandpa (thanks G&G!). Loudon was very excited about the BIG truck- bigger then a car, truck!

5 Cousins

Chinatown in TO

While on vacation we went downtown Toronto to visit Chinatown. On our way into the city, as we approached the CN Tower, Loudon exclaimed, "Hey, I see the Statue of Liberty". And, while on the 401 Highway, Loudon asked why all the other cars were following us.
In Chinatown, Hoa took us to an amazing Vietnamese restaurant and the food was amazing. We had frosty drinks, made from coconut milk, mung beans and black bean. I was a little nervous about the taste, but they were delicious.

Mmmm, Yummy!

This is Loudon and his cousins Hayden and Hannah making yummy recipes with all the leftovers in Auntie Hoa's pantry, before the big move.

Hanging Out with Brad, Hoa, Hannah, Hayden and Norah

While in Ontario, the kids got to hang out a lot. It had been a year since they had seen each other and it made a difference in their ability to interact with one another, especially Hannah and Loudon.

Hoa and Brad gave everyone a ride o the giant see-saw. They loved it.This is Hannah trying out the log-roll thingy, she was really good at it!
















It was so nice to have some time with everyone before they moved far, far away to Alberta. Loudon will remember this visit.

Norah and Brennus were particularly funny to watch. They have very similar actions and expressions. They were hilarious together.

The kids enjoyed a few wagon rides to a nearby park. And the adults enjoyed the Tim Horton's next to the playground!

The Toronto Zoo

Well, I finally got our vacations pics off of Darrin's laptop, so I can start posting pics from our vacation. These are from the Toronto Zoo.

Everyone is excited and there is so much to see. L-R: Bradley, Darrin, Hoa, Hayden, Hannah, Brennus, Loudon (hey boys, stop fighting!) and Norah (hiding in the stroller).

Two hot and tired boys needed a lift every now and then.

The baby baboons put on quite a show for Hayden and Loudon. This one pressed his face against the glass and Loudon is poking him. The monkey would then jump back like he was scared which would send Loudon into a fit of laughter.
