Hi all,
Just a few notes about the boys...as you can see, Loudon has become quite the streaker. Whenever I disappear to put Brennus down for a nap- or whatever-Loudon strips off his clothes, and when I reappear, he thinks it's quite funny. But, finding him riding his bike around while naked was too much! He's definately getting smarter and some of the biggest differences I see in him lately are things like, being able to dress himself (after the strip tease!), and open and close the van doors, he gets himself a snack or a drink whenever he wants...just generally older things. It's very interesting to see his mind change. He talks about plants and how they grow, about how the body works and is always making up 'machines'.
Brennus has very few signs of baby left. He has a small vocabulary of words now. Besides mama and dadda, he says uh-oh, hot, apple, pup-pup (puppy), kitt (kitten), up, banana. He calls every animal a pup-pup and everything dangerous; like knives & outlets are hot (must not touch). He's really devilish at times and can really torture his brother, grabbing his face and then laughing while Loudon complains. Or he pretends to give you something and then grabs it back and laughs. He'll even do this with his kisses- it's very funny. Sometimes, when I say, "Give me a kiss." he'll just shake his head no. He really like books and music and likes to be chased and tickled- who doesn't!

beatin' up daddy
Loudon and Brennus are pretty good at giving Daddy a beatin'. Brennus has been wrestling since he was just a few months old and loves to get in on the action.
big shoes
Brennus likes to sneak away and try on shoes- anyone's shoes. Here, he's wearing my old sneakers. He also likes to carry them to us and tries to put them on our feet.

Having A Tea Party
Most afternoons when Brennus is napping, I make an effort to have 'special mommy and Loudon time'. It's a good time for us to do stuff that Brennus would just make a mess of, like play-doh or paint. Sometimes we make a secret tent over his bed and have a tea party and roast marshmallows over a pretend fire. That's the kind of tea parties that boys have- ones with FIRE- of course!

the motherload
Loudon cetainly hit the motherload with this piece of Watermelon. He found it in the fridge all by himself, by the time I found him, I couldn't take it away. After I stripped him of his juice drenched shirt and got his bib- er,...drip catcher, I ran for the camera once again. He finished the whole piece.

Yum, Yum!!
It's not the typical winter snack, but when we were at the grocery store today, Loudon insisted that we get some. Why not!!
Watermelon, mmmm!!
When I cut Loudon a piece of Watermelon, he rejected it, saying it was too small, so I cut him a huge piece and, as you can see, that made
him very happy!
Lucky for me, Loudon has never needed to see me eat watermelon- one of the only 2 foods I don't like. (The other is Beets- yuck!)
Pretending to Fall Down
Here, Brennus is pretending to fall down, making us all say uh-oh and getting a good laugh.

Jack Frost Festival
The Backyardigans Perform...
If you don't know who the Backyardigans are, you don't have a child! They are a group of friends who live next to one another and create imaginary stories in thier backyard. It's really cute and has great songs and music. Loudon just loves it.

little baker man
Wee little Brennus makes a BIG mess, trying to help out in the kitchen. I just want to add that this happened on Daddy's watch!! Whenever I see a big mess like this, that's completely harmless, I RUN for the camera.
Tasting his wares.
Ok, maybe I should have stopped him from licking the corn starch off the floor- but it makes for another great shot. He didn't like it enough to taste it again.
Happy Valentine's Day Darrin!!
My husband, Darrin, set up this blog for me as my Valentine's gift. He also set up a Flickr account to keep my photos and a YouTube account to keep my videos. So, we posted a few things as he was showing me how it all works. I think I can figure it out but will have to take some time to play around and get it sorted in my brain. It's a good way to show off the boys without bombarding everyone's e-mail accounts with large pictures and video files, so I must take advantage of it. I've been following other blogs recently; mostly blogs about adopting from China. I'm sure I won't have much exciting to say, so my blog will contain images for now. Enjoy!
